Prof. (Dr) Preeti Kumar is currently Director, Indian Institute of Public Health – Delhi and Vice President at Public Health Foundation of India.
She is an ophthalmologist and a public health specialist, with a MSc in Health Policy and Financing from the London School of Economics (LSE) and PhD in Health Economics.
She has worked extensively with the Ministry of Health, GOI, Government of UP and WHO. Her areas of interest are health systems policy, particularly in primary health care and universal health coverage. She was the lead author for drafting State Health Policy for Uttar Pradesh and the report on Revitalising and Transforming Health Systems in Punjab.
