Background

The nutrition is in the crossroads of all the sectors: health, agriculture, transport, etc. Nutrition is an input into development. Nutrition has always been considered critical for human and economic development and its neglect would adversely have the impact on health, cognitive development of children, productivity of the people, economic growth of the country and pace of national development. Public Health Nutrition (PHN) is recognized as an educational discipline with the potential to train candidates to not only address nutritional
issues but also work in sync with other stakeholders/departments/organizations towards ensuring better health for the masses.

The proposed three programmes day training programme is a basic level course aims to provide basic understanding of pertinent nutritional issues and related policies and strategies.

This workshop is suitable for early and mid-career professional working in public health and nutrition fields, medical, nursing and allied health professionals. This online workshop will be facilitated through CISCO WebEx on IIPH-Delhi platform, therefore, it requires stable internet connection and strong bandwidth to attend the sessions.
