Executive Post Graduate Programme In Public Health Management
Public health is a multidisciplinary domain needing professionals with a wide variety of skill sets. While the core public health sciences are part of the curriculum in almost all courses on public health, there is one skill that is almost uniformly ignored. Management skills are not part of most public health courses. However, this is one key skill that is absolutely necessary for any public health professional irrespective of the specialisation or domain of practice. This is more true as one advances in the career path where managerial skills become as much important if more than core public health sciences. Hence, public health professionals must obtain critical managerial skills to chart an advancing career path and ensure results in public health programmes at all levels. This is more relevant with the creation of the Public Health Management Cadre to enhance managerial efficiencies in managing public health programmes.
