
Mr. J. V. Ramamurthy is the Director – Development and Strategy at the PHFI Institute of Public Sciences, Hyderabad. An innovative business strategist, board member, and corporate leader, he has led enterprise-wide initiatives that created differentiated business verticals, driving new business development and sustainable growth. He served as a board member in various capacities at HCL Group from 1998 to 2016. He was also Governing Board Member for Delhi Technology University, IIIT Allahabad and Director in National Skills Development Corporation.
Currently he is Vice President Strategic Initiatives at IIT Madras Pravarthak and Chief of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development in IIT Palghat. In addition he is in the Advisory Board to the Chairman CEMS Ministry of Shipping Visakhapatnam.
Mr. Ramamurthy mentors startups across India and Europe and brings deep expertise across sectors including telecom, IT Services and Hardware, Aerospace and Defense, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, and Utilities. He has successfully resolved complex business, technology, regulatory, and taxation issues and maintains strong working relationships with central and state governments, policy makers, and public sector undertakings such as BHEL, NTPC, BSNL RAILTEL, TCIL, AAI, and HAL.
On the social sector he is associated with Sampark Foundation, as a Global Advisory Board Member. He is currently Chairman, Governing Board of NISWAS Bhubneswar. He is actively associated with Deshpande Foundation at Hubbali. He has also served as an advisory member for the Defence Offset Manufacturing Program and actively contributes to industry advocacy through leading associations, CSR initiatives, and policy-focused thought leadership.
