    Brief on the Organization

    The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to
    address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training,
    advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is
    headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes
    of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation,
    established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior

    Project Brief

    Mission Utkarsh is launched by Honorable Prime Minister recently to improve the KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) in 10 selected districts. Central Council of Ayurveda Sciences in collaboration with Ministry of Women and Child Development is rolling out a new initiative to improve anemia levels among adolescent girls registered in AWCs in five tribal districts. IIPH-Delhi is collaborating with Central Council of Ayurveda Sciences to support in conducting baseline and endline assessment of the project.

    Deliverables

    The Consultant – Social Worker will be responsible for actual collection of data from adolescent girls and parents.

    The key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to.

    • Approaching study participants and mobilize them to participate in the study                                                                                                                                                 
    • Collect data using mobile based application as per guidelines 
    • Prepare daily report and submit to research fellow at the district                              
    • Ensure completion of data collection         
    • Perform any other task as assigned by the project team and PI

    Qualification

    Essential:

    • Graduate or master’s degree in Social work / social science or other relevant disciplines 

    Experience

    Essential:

    • 6 months of experience in collection of data in field.

    Desirable:

    • Experience of working with adolescents and children.
    • Effective Communication skills
    • Ability to manage the team’s performance
    • Ability to prepare reports, presentations etc.

    per the selection process.

    Duration of Position: 7/8 Months or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier
